How I remove my makeup =*

I am no makeup guru, for me makeup is like expensive face paint and to be able to experiment and go artistically creative is super fun. But at the end of a long day there's nothing better than just wiping it all away and being left with a squeaky clean face that is fully refreshed and nourished. It's especially amazing considering that makeup no matter how expensive and luxurious can affect your skin so it's really important to keep your skin nourished and hydrated!

Ice Cream Bread OoO

I've been inspired well really I've been feeling nostalgic after GBBO and bread week I was thinking of those lessons in Cooking class when we had to make bread and learning about how it rises and the ache after the kneading process. Well after that I also learned a sort of unhealthy alternative to the process.

ICE CREAM + SELF-RAISING FLOUR = BREAD

Read a chapter...

So I decided to try out this technique when reviewing a book, instead of just reading any review or blur you give it a go and if you like the first chapter then you carry on if not well then you put it down and try again. This to me seemed a little uncomfortable to do in a book shop so I decided to go to a library and pick a book!

Autumn Aesthetics

Hey so it's getting more chilly now considering it rained this morning so I'd just like to share a few posts I found on instagram that really gave me that Autumn feeling and is just so pretty to look at. I went through the accounts so I'm sure they're awesome so hope you enjoy these lovely posts!

I am made for Autumn. Summer and I had a fickle relationship, but everything about Autumn is perfect to me. Wooly jumpers, scarves, thin first, then thick, socks. The low slanting light, the crisp mornings, the chill in my fingers, those last warm sunny days before the rain and the wind. The moody hues and subdued palate punctuated every now and again by a brilliant orange, scarlet or copper goodbye. - Alys Fowler

Learning in London

London. Such an amazing place don't you think? There's so much to do considering it is the capital city of England, loads of tourists visit here and for good reason. I went around London through an educational perspective and if you'd like to see how that went then keep on reading!

Starting off at the British Museum to keep it basic,  there's actually so much to do and see and considering it's free is a must to visit! I walked around for a bit and saw this which really intrigued me, probably because school just started and I've gotten into journaling recently so seeing Sigmar Polke's work that's started from 1941-2010 really shows how old journalling really is, capturing this every day art from advertisements and using water colours to show creativity inspired me to start and continue journaling.

the blind leading the blind
Later on was the Wellcome Collection for a bit more insight on the mind. This was from the Medicine Man collection, it was by a Dutch painter named Pieter Bruegel who liked to create painting with lots of little sayings that would reference to certain quotes that people at the time would understand, this one is specifically from the Bible and shows various  injuries to the eyes including eyes being removed and corneal leukemia. I was really captivated by this one in particular because it's still so relatable even today and well to be honest it wasn't at all as creepy as the other images were to convey the message. (If you're into gruesome stuff then definitely check this place out)

This is a letter inspired from Vladimir Nabokov's 'Alphabet in Colour' work, it was to demonstrate the art in the qualities of a moment itself. This was based on coloured hearing and how a letter could show that similar colour lettering synesthesia (associating letters with colours) can be learned through training, showing just how flexible the brain is. The letters in the collection are by Jean Holabird in 2005 who was inspired by Nabokov's autobiography which tied with the theme of science and soul. There were many more thought provoking collections that intrigued me in the State of Mind exhibition so I would definitely recommend this place to visit.

oF COURSE when I have control over what I eat I chose the most sugary stuff possible, to be fair I really wanted Sainsbury's milk choc chip cookies so when I genuinely made my friends come hunt for one with me, thankfully a nice gentleman could see (and probably hear) us me struggling to find one that he joined in the conversation and told us the directions to the closest one :) The energy drink was because I was feeling sleepy but I had work to do later on so I needed some quick energy to keep me in work mode. This isn't what I'd eat regularly, more like a big snack but it was just for the occasion and I did have a proper meal later that day that was specially made for me by my friend Niffya (on her mother's request that is) still was absolutely lovely especially as an ending to a lovely day out.

starting a bullet journal

It’s Autumn!!!! In this frosty season is the start to a new year of school and as a plan to get my life back on track this year I’ve created a bullet journal!  I feel like they’re the perfect blend of organization and creativity that there is only a (slight) hint of procrastination.

My Everyday Lip Combo

I'm not a big makeup geek, wait I'm not even a small makeup geek, I like to think of makeup as socially acceptable face paint if we're being honest. Nonetheless when I find a product I like and I think I can apply well, my happiness level of the day increases. On this particular day I was especially proud of discovering my new favourite pinky nude combo.
I only say new because when I was younger I used to own a really dark brown lip liner I got from my mum and pink vaseline and that would be my combo; and one time my mum complimented it and even though the pencil is really small I still keep it as a reminder of my awesome combo moment not even having a high opinion of myself I was just so proud.

Dun da duun! If you want to know what that awesome combo is it's a first layer of Primark lip liner in brown along the outline and in the sides with Sleek Eau la la liner in dragon fruit tapped in the middle, I say tapped because it's actually a really bold colour and I'm not really big on rocking bold lips everyday. I then finish it off with a coat of the clear Maybelline superstay 24hr lip colour (this one is in the shade 542 cherry pie if you're interested), this is mainly because it adds a glossy finish to these matte lip liners which I loveeee <3 It also balances out the colours making them less bright and more blended in together so it looks more like a proper lip look then just a few slicks and taps of brown and pink.

Here's the finished look that I am very much enjoying, I love, love, love this combo as it's the perfect balance between brown and pink but you also have so much freedom to add more or less depending on what you want! What's your favourite lip combo? Let me know in the comments or catch me on Twitter @beeingShazeda I'll be sure to reply!

Yummy Mummy Lush product review

Can we all just take a moment to realise that I bought this in April and it only finished now?! That's five months, nearly six and tbh I think it would have been if I didn't let my family borrow it. So I'd like to give an opinion on this product if not because it's a Lush product then at the very least for taking this wonderfully cute picture and not being able to use it in any other way. I swear I've had this ready since April and I'm only using it now, it actually makes me happy!

Yummy Mummy is a limited edition shower cream from Mother's day, it's surprisingly not lavender scented rather a very mysterious tonka smell. I say mysterious only because this is the first time I bought something with tonka absolute in it and I was at first so confused as to what it smelt like the all I could define it was a mysterious, a musky mystery. It adds a very sweet vanillary scent but what's really amazing is that I could spend absolute ages smelling it and not get sick of it, it's an untraditional and creative scent which is what I loved about it.

The shower cream itself was wonderful, it left me feeling washed and clean and smelling amazing all day, I like that it's not a revitalising ingredients like mint or lemon that are in a lot of morning products because sometimes you just want a hug in warm water and that's exactly what this is.

If we were being picky the only thing I didn't like was the texture, I know it is a shower cream but it just felt thick for a wash and was hard to lather at first but you get the hang of it. The product is filled with sparkle but that disappears and doesn't leave you shining which is a good thing as I wasn't planning on doing any highlighter challenge.

Overall I really enjoyed this product and I would definitely buy it again next year, have you tried this or any other Lush product? Have any recommendations? Leave them in the comments below :)

H&M Autumn Wishlist

I will always buy a H&M jumper, the quality is soft but not fluffy which is awesome for me to not feel like I'm suffocating. There's so many choices so it's not hard to find the right one for you and then the price of £5.99 is super cheap that I genuinely buy one a month no matter the weather.

This is just a really simple turtleneck jumper I thought would be really great for Autumn because of the colour and style. The burgundy is deep and sophisticated which will be great for school and then turtleneck and long simple sleeves to keep you warm. This would definitely become key in my wardrobe because it's such a good Autumn piece that can be styled in so many ways. Also an amazing price of £7.99 is a must to try!

This dress caught my attention because of how simple yet cute it looks. It would really suit the style I'm going for this Autumn and I love that it has the thin red lines which create a more nautical look. The dress is versatile for day and night as it could be a basic work outfit with some accessories maybe a staple necklace or be layered with a big cardigan for a more laid back look; either way this dress is definite a must have considering it is only £12.99 thus a real catch, don't you think?

For accessories I plan on keeping it simple to one piece of jewellery per outfit as I have bought quite a few and really end up never wearing them. Thus this term I will have this gold chain, keyring bracelet as my main accessory to spice up any bold colours. The gold adds a warm tone and is pretty basic so goes well with most outfits, yet there is a silver one available for anyone who likes silver much, much more! I especially love the items attached because they're so cute and add a personal touch.

The item on the left is a solid bar of perfume, this is relatively new for H&M so I'm excited to try that out. I like a good perfume bar because they tend to last longer than most perfumes in bottles. Also the scents are really simple so would be great for everyday and hopefully does a good job considering it is of premium quality and is £6.99 for 2.5g :o

These shoes are plain black canvas shoes that go with pretty much any casual outfit. They are for a really good price of £7.99 and H&M have such good quality that I'm sure these will stand a whole season (which is a challenge as I'm not so good at taking care of shoes) and if not they won't make me break the bank.

The final item I'd like is this leather tote bag. I'm not really a fan of hand bags or anything like it but this is very edgy and bold without being too bright colour wise. I like it's simplicity and the humour itself and I think it is something I would take on casual days to school and on days out, I'm sure it will be able to hold all those things for sure!

Back to school outfit ideas

It's September and in this terrifying month school starts :(
However the first week day is really a fashion show so here's a couple of outfits to inspire your inner designer!

This is a basic long plaid shirt (Whitechapel Market) with some skinny jeans (New Look) and black flats (Primark) for a casual formal look. As the shirt is long it's more cute and dressier yet still keeps an overall chill vibe that's comfortable to work in!

This is a very basic look that works especially well when you're stuck with no idea on what to wear. Black and white is always a good combo so the dress (H&M) is a staple and with the long black cardigan (Whitechapel Market) creates a more sophisticated look. The jeggings (New Look) add a laid back touch as well as complimenting any Sun that might appear. The bow (Forever 21) in the scarf (Green Street) was to add a cute touch as well as just showing off my style overall.

GIVEAWAY Prizes :)

Recently I won these lovely lashes from The Blushing Giraffe (Iqra) which is so amazing!! I love her blog because she stands for ethical beauty and has completely banned any products that support zionism and it's just amazing because of how many there is and so her posts not only shows me alternatives but also gives the realest response and thoughts on products. She is also one of the first blogs I followed which made this win such a happy shock and so so special :) Can't wait for any reason to try on fake eyelashes for the first timee :D
